Coach explains how Leicester City star is setting an example for young players

A Leicester City coach explained how Timothy Castagne sets an example for young players.
Paul McGuinness, City Academy’s player development manager, highlighted how Castagne is defending one-on-one against an opponent.
McGuinness regularly posts tweets analyzing techniques, tactics and coaching methods which are widely shared and discussed within the football community.
In one of his latest posts, he highlighted Castagne’s defense against Legia Warsaw‘s Filip Mladenović in this season’s Europa League campaign.
Analyzing a passage from the game with various screenshots, McGuinness wrote: “In a duel for the ball, teach young players that it is not like a 100m race – get into your opponents’ ‘lane’ – use your arms to disrupt its flow – block its path using your body as a barrier – use its momentum against it with speed changes and opposing movements to beat it. “
Meanwhile, McGuinness’s appointment to Leicester has helped take the club’s academy to “another level”.
He has an impressive 23-year history as a coach at Manchester United and brings with him a core set of values and beliefs to the club.
Coaches from other clubs envy his arrival and there is a plethora of talented players in the ranks that he will have the chance to work with.
