British model David Gandy is launching an eponymous fashion and lifestyle brand that fuses fashion, function and feel while combining clothing and wellness.
David Gandy Wellwear draws on the model’s 20 years of industry experience and will offer a line of essentials that places the customer’s ’emotional well-being’ at the heart of what he calls the scientific benefits of wearing soft and comfortable clothes.
Commenting on the launch, Gandy said in a statement, âClothing can have a big impact on our confidence, so I wanted to create a line that helps people feel relaxed and secure – one that makes people feel too. comfortable that they are doing it in their own skin.
âSometimes I feel like we as human beings have lost our emotional connection to clothes, so I wanted to put that feeling back in fashion. Clothing doesn’t just have to make you look good, it should also make you feel good.
Gandy will launch a first 20-piece unisex collection consisting of nine main categories – T-shirts, polo shirts, sweatshirts, joggers, hoodies, outerwear, sleepwear, loungewear and luxury accessories, with a black, white, navy blue, heather gray and khaki color palette designed to make it both easy to wear and easy to style.
âI wanted to take the stress out of dressing at all levels, making it easy and accessible,â Gandy adds.

To ensure that clothes make his customers feel good, David Gandy Wellwell will take a multisensory approach to design by evoking a sense of well-being through comfort, style, fit and quality.
Gandy notes that scientific studies show that just touching smooth tissue can create a sense of psychological well-being and reduce negative emotions. your skin and that of others.
Fabric constructions were also selected for their natural functionality, Gandy adds, such as regulating body temperature and wicking away moisture, to create an extra layer of comfort. Additionally, Wellwear aims to push the boundaries of affordable fabric innovation by applying technical treatments to garments to physically improve the well-being of the wearer. These include anti-odor and antibacterial properties which reduce the need to wash clothes after each wear, increasing the longevity of the garment and in turn having a wider positive environmental impact, and the use of plant extract of ‘Aloe Vera which heals wounds, anti-inflammatory and moisturizing properties.

Gandy adds, âMost people probably associate me with tailoring, but being a naturally shy person, I often wear it as an armor when I know I’m going to be in the public eye or at high profile events. The side that they probably don’t see – most of my time – is when I’m happiest and most comfortable on a daily basis; becoming a dad and raising my little girl, walking my dog ââfor miles, traveling for work or just chilling out with friends and family.
âThese situations call for a different kind of wardrobe: a wardrobe that is always elegant and well-fitting, but above all one that is practical and comfortable against my skin. I opt for clothes that not only reflect the sense of security and happiness I feel, but that physically reinforce those positive feelings and mindset through what they experience, thus improving my well-being. The first affordable 20-piece collection will include four everyday t-shirts with ‘Ultimate’ or ‘Heritage’ designs in a choice of fits and necklines, as well as short and long sleeve sweatshirt polo shirts, and two loop-knit sweatshirt styles. designed to control body temperature for year round comfort.
Gandy also designed what he calls the âultimate joggerâ with side seam pockets and a matching hoodie in a nod to authentic sportswear. There are also outerwear and accessories with a bomber sweatshirt and vest sweatshirt and baseball caps in two colourways to embody the collection’s laid back nature.
In addition, Gandy will present high-end sleepwear, with pajama pants or shorts in a relaxed fit with a button fly and side seam pockets for added comfort.
