Dior launches a line of colorful accessories for men and new Snapchat lenses – WWD
Dior is betting on color to encourage consumers to return to its stores after prolonged closures around the world.
The French fashion house is launching a series of revisited men’s accessories in vibrant hues, and has collaborated with Snapchat to create two new augmented reality glasses, marking the first time that it will be possible to virtually try on a Dior bag and cycle through different styles with just one screen swipe.
Available in yellow, red, blue, green and black, with a monochrome version of the Dior Oblique motif, items from the Dior World Tour capsule will be on sale this month in selected Dior boutiques around the world.
The line includes limited edition B27 sneakers with a leather shoe case, sold separately, as well as a Saddle belt bag, card holder, pouch and belts with interchangeable straps and buckles. Prices range from 280 euros for a belt buckle to 2400 euros for the shoe case.
Dior’s AR target for the B27 launch last year generated more than 1.5 million virtual trials. The new glasses, which will be presented at the VivaTech conference in Paris from June 16 to 19, will allow users to try on the Saddle sneakers and belt bag in the line’s five colors.
