Georgia D. Martin | Obituary
WARSAW – Georgia D. Martin, 74, of Route 19 South of Warsaw, died Friday, April 29, 2022 at Wyoming County Community Hospital. Georgia was born in Warsaw on January 19, 1948, daughter of the late Lars and Doris Powers Tyler. A 1966 graduate of Wyoming Central School, Georgia has remained a lifelong resident of the community. She worked in the WCCH business office and later as a medical secretary for doctors Piechocki, Chaudry and Riggio. Georgia was a member of St. Michael’s Church in Warsaw and loved her flower gardens because she had the proverbial green thumb. Her kind heart and warm smile drew people to her, and her sense of wit was well known. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her, including her many friends at Wyoming County Veterans Inc., of which she was a longtime member.
She was predeceased by one brother, Robert Tyler, two brothers-in-law, Albert Strathearn and Ronald Grutzner.
Georgia is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years, Robert Martin, whom she married on July 2, 1972. Other survivors include her daughter, Nicole (Jeffrey) Carlino of Amherst; his son, Patrick (Rose) Martin of Tonawanda; three grandchildren, Jack, Caroline Carlino and Kenley Martin; two sisters, Betty Strathearn of Wyoming and Jean Grutzner of Warsaw; a sister-in-law, Mary Ann Tyler of Florida and Penn Yan; as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Christian burial mass will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, May 5, 2022, at St. Michael’s Church in Warsaw. Interment will be private for the family at a later date in St. Mary’s Cemetery at Pavilion.
