Nadia Hussain defends Sadaf Kanwal over the prices of his clothing line – Celebrities
Model Nadia Hussain rushed to defend model Sadaf Kanwal when netizens spoke out against the prices of her clothing brand Sadaf Kanwal Fashion Line.
Kanwal has come under fire from social media users for pricing its fashion line for a specific target group that does not appear to include the majority of interested shoppers. Her designs feature monochromatic, minimalist and simple dresses. The clothing line is featured on Instagram with no website link, only a WhatsApp number in the bio. Prices are not mentioned on the page.
Hussain didn’t hold back and channeled his rage into dissuading netizens, saying they have no right to dictate the choices Kanwal makes for his business. She posted a screenshot which had part of an Instagram chat at the top – with the price of a plain colored brown dress listed as Rs30,000. At the bottom, the text “Sadaf Kanwal is getting screwed for his fashion brand because of ridiculous prices” was written.
“Neti (SH*T) zens really need to have an af*****g life! It’s Sadaf Kanwal’s business Sadaf Kanwal fashion SO IT’S HER BLOODY CHOICE EVERYTHING SHE WANTS DO! NO ONE HAS THE RIGHT TO BASH FOR THEIR CHOICE TO RUN THEIR BUSINESS THE WAY THEY WANT!” cried Hussain.
She also added that if they aren’t interested in the brand, they just shouldn’t buy the clothes. “Nahin khareedna na khareedo! [If you don’t want to buy it, don’t buy!]”
Kanwal announced her fashion line in August 2021 and launched it in February this year.
Hussain has quite a history of finding himself in the middle of controversy due to his strong opinions. In May last year, the model went public with her falling out with makeup artist Nabila by posting screenshots of their WhatsApp conversation on Instagram. Later that year, she revealed that the reason she acted this way was that Nabila “ticked her off” and acted “annoyingly” by trampling on her feelings and accomplishments.
More recently, Hussain commented on new models not being “educated” enough and lacking in “class” and “personality” compared to models of his generation. Her remarks were criticized by model Sarah Zulfiqar and netizens for being “elitist” and “ignorant”.
