Pokemon Legends Arceus fans released a new trailer: “Sounds Empty”
Pokemon fans are slamming Pokemon Legends Arceus graphics after Game Freak released a new trailer a few weeks before its release. Gamers claim that the Nintendo Switch RPG has poor graphics that look “empty”.

Just weeks away from its release, a new PLA trailer sparked a similar concern. According to fans, Sinnoh’s origin story seems “empty” and “sterile” when compared to similar games in the genre.
Pokemon Legends Arceus graphics elicit negative reactions
Despite the launch of the Hisui title on January 28, 2022, there is still a lot of mystery surrounding the titles in the Hisui region. This silence was broken when Usual game released a special trailer in Japan on January 6.
The new six-minute video featured Pokemon Legend’s sprawling map and various views. Some fans, however, weren’t thrilled with how the game looked a few weeks away from its release in stores.
Angry gamers took to social media to voice their frustrations and argued that PLA’s graphics were horrible for a title released in 2022.
On the r / Pokemon forums, users responded to the trailer with criticism. “The textures of landscapes that aren’t buildings look so crisp,” one fan wrote. Another commentary exclaimed, “The textures look so bad, Jesus Christ.”
A major point of criticism from other fans was the game’s seemingly empty map. “The outside world looks so sickly and sterile I would have believed you if you said this game was still in alpha,” he said. writes a player.
One user even threatened to boycott the RPG. “Don’t buy it. This is the first time in over 15 years that I will not purchase the latest Pokémon AAA game. Looks like shit, they should have taken at least 1 more year to polish this game.
On Twitter, the reaction from some players was similar, such as a Tweet that read, “I have some thoughts after watching this new Pokemon Legends Arceus trailer. On the one hand, the world seems empty as hell. I really hope the current game has more life / pokemon. The locations shown look generic and boring too.
Another fan posted a picture of Skyrim from 2011 to criticize Legends Arceus. “Yes, I, too, am in awe of the fact that, despite the year 2022, Gamefreak still makes games that look worse than games from 15 years ago. If you think this looks good, you should see the snow areas of Skyrim, a 10 year old game.
Interestingly, Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl received a similar backlash to Pokemon Legends when it was announced. However, its trailer a few weeks before its release won over many critics who praised its improved graphics.
Only time will tell if the APL will win over critics as well. The RPG Game Freak officially hits store shelves on January 28, 2022.
