Wisconsin Clothing Co., which primarily sells local-themed and Wisconsin-themed sportswear, has opened its second retail store, at 413 Jay Street in downtown La Crosse.
The new store opened on August 11 and sells clothing for men, women and youth such as t-shirts, sweatshirts, sweatpants, jackets, tank tops and hats, Corey Kaiser said. , who owns the business with his wife Teah and sister, Amanda Kaiser. Based in Kieler, Wis., A small community northeast of Dubuque, Iowa, the company also sells corporate clothing, accessories and home decor items.
Kaiser said the new La Crosse store will also be selling Oktoberfest clothing soon.
Athleisure is a style of clothing that can be earned as sportswear, but also suitable for casual and everyday wear.
In addition to retail sales at its La Crosse and Kieler stores, Wisconsin Clothing Co. also sells online and wholesalers to a few retailers. The company started in 2018 as 608 and was renamed in March.
“We thought this would be a perfect place to grow our business,” Kaiser said of downtown La Crosse, which he says reminds him somewhat of Dubuque.
The company also makes video segments on its YouTube channel in which it explores the state’s “cool communities”, Kaiser said.
