UNIQLO collaborates with print designer Cassie Byrnes
Clothing retailer GLOBAL UNIQLO will launch a collection featuring Cassie Byrnes on June 7. This will be the first collaboration with the Australia-based print designer known for her abstract exploration of native flora and fauna in vivid primary colors. Ms. Byrnes’ works begin with traditional media such as collage, painting, and bulk ink mark making before blending them with digital practices that amplify the integrity and original writing of the works. This UT collection features brand new designs specially designed for UNIQLO along with its signature designs, applying them to women’s t-shirts and shorts. The range also includes dresses for girls, making it easy to coordinate looks between moms and daughters. The collection, full of vivid and vibrant prints, will be available at all UNIQLO stores nationwide and from UNIQLO.com/ph.
Michael Kors launches the Pride collection
MICHAEL Kors released the #MKPride capsule which features a range of gender-neutral pieces for women, men and men adorned with rainbows. There are shorts and sweatshirts with rainbow heart patches, as well as accessories and outerwear in a rainbow striped design. The capsule also includes a special edition Pride t-shirt, available in white and heather gray, with a distinctive rainbow Michael Kors logo patch. All proceeds from the sale of the special edition t-shirt go to OutRight Action International, a leading global human rights organization that fights for the rights of LGBTIQ + people around the world. The collection is being pushed through Michael Kors’ Pride 2021 campaign, created in partnership with Paper. The digitally-led campaign features four queer content creators TikTok wearing pieces from the brand’s #MKPride capsule. In the campaign, LGBTQ + TikTok stars Tyshon Lawrence, Ve’ondre Mitchell, Mad Tsai and Soph Mosca show us their take on the popular transformation videos that have taken over social media, using the #MKPride product capsule as catalyst for their “shine” transformations. UNIQLO reopens Evia Lifestyle Center branch
JAPANESE global clothing retailer UNIQLO will reopen a bigger and brand new store at the Evia Lifestyle Center on June 18. The new store will increase its retail space from 600 square meters to 1,878 square meters. The expansion means buyers can now choose from the full LifeWear collection for men, women, kids and babies. The store is located on the ground floor of the Evia Lifestyle Center, along Daang Hari Road in Las Pinas, Metro Manila. To celebrate the reopening, the following specials will be available during opening week: DRY-EX Short Sleeve Round Neck T-Shirt for Men and Women for P590 from the regular price of P790; Short sleeve round neck t-shirt for men and women for P390 from P590; Women’s Cotton Ankle-Length Casual Pants for P590 from P790; Ultra stretch skinny fit color jeans for P990 from P1490; and Kids Easy Shorts for P390 from P590.
