Homestead Cruises To Warsaw Invite Title
Homestead played Stonehenge like his home run, pulling in a stunning 283 to wow the competition. Madison Dabagia of the Spartans clocked a 66-under-five for the day to claim medal honors.
NorthWood finished second in the team standings with a 340, followed by Warsaw with 360 among the nine full teams in play.
For the Panthers, Cybil Stillson kept pace with Dabagia with a 33 up front, but shot a 35 in the back to finish at 68, still three under for the tournament and the future home of the Warsaw section in a month. Breanna Goss had an 80 to finish sixth overall, Riley Kitson had an 89 and Bella Sechrist a 103 to close the team’s score.
Warsaw had an 88 from Marie Frazzetta in the lead, followed closely by a 90 from Olivia Robinson-Gay and a 91 from Abbey Peterson and Delaney Byron. Abigail Davis had a 102 for her fifth score.
Valley Seventh to Rochester Invite
Tippecanoe Valley clinched seventh place among the teams at the Rochester Invite on Saturday morning.
Valley shot a 386, led by Kaydence Mellott and Madelyn Weaver’s 90s. Molly Moriarty had a 102 and Lily Ault a 104 as four scorers. Cheney Canada finished at 108 for the fifth score.
Culver Academy shot a 322 to win the tag team title and Penn’s Delaney Wade finished at 73 to finish as a tournament medalist.
Wawasee participated in the invitation but did not report his scores.
