Warsaw Community Schools have announced that Dr. David Robertson, Deputy Superintendent of Elementary Education, has received the President’s Award from the Indiana Principals Association (IASP).

Aimee Lunsford, principal of Lincoln Elementary School, is president of the IASP, according to a press release from WCS.

Lunsford said: “Each year the President of IASP has the opportunity to recognize someone who has made a positive impact on their leadership. I first met Dave when he was my mentor through the Indiana Principal Leadership Institute (IPLI), a professional growth institute of a state director. My path later took me to Warsaw where I was strained and challenged to reach my full potential under Dave’s guidance and supervision.

The IASP President’s Award was presented in Indianapolis at the Fall Professionals’ Conference, November 21-23. Under the direction of Cassandra Petrie, the Warsaw Community High School Select Choir and the Advanced Women’s Choir helped kick off the conference. The students then performed at the State House and received praise from Dr David Hoffert, director of WCS, the statement said.

Lunsford addressed conference attendees and said, “Dave embodies true servant leadership, but he associates it with excellence in a way so hard to find in humanity alone, and that certainly sets him apart. as a leader!

Lunsford said: “While I have been honored to present this award to Dave and it has touched me immensely, I know I just have a platform this year to honor a leader who nourishes the heart and the spirit of our district and state leaders. Dave has so much impact that he goes out of his daily call to walk alongside the leaders! ”
