Warsaw-based Group Donates 80,000 Servings of Protein to Local Churches | Local

WARSAW – On Tuesday, November 30, Villari Food Group, a locally owned and operated company, partnered with Warsaw Mayor AJ Connors to deliver 80,000 servings of protein to local churches of the Eastern Baptist Missionary Association of Kenansville in Warsaw.
VFG has been a member of the Duplin County community for over 20 years, creating over 600 jobs and actively engaging with local charities and civic organizations throughout the year.
“Giving back to the community is at the heart of Villari Food Group, and we are delighted to partner again with Mayor Connors in bringing quality protein to those in our community,” said Joe Villari, owner of Villari Food Group.
“Our mission is to bring high quality meats to our customers and our communities, and we’re happy to do it today for those who need it most. “
Connor’s said the city is grateful for the company’s efforts to bring quality protein to families in need.
“For the second year in a row, we’ve been able to partner with Villari Food Group to make this happen,” said Connors.
“This is a great day where local businesses and local government can come together to uplift our community,” Connors said.
Villari Food Group is active in local groups in the city, including Methodist Children’s Home, Warsaw Wellness Center, Duplin County Schools, Families Unshackled, Duplin Agribusiness Academy, Chamber of Commerce of Duplin County and the Warsaw Police Department.
The business started as a butcher’s shop in 1925 and has remained a family business for four generations. Villari Foods produces quality meats right here in eastern North Carolina and distributes products nationwide.
